Description
Acting substance - Cinnarizine: trans-1-Tsinnamoil-4-difenilmetil-piperazine, or N-benzgidril-N'-transtsinnamoil-piperazine.
Pharmacological action
Preparation selectively improves cerebral blood circulation, weakens the smooth musculature of vessels. He is the antagonist of calcium.
Indications for use
Ischemic disturbances of cerebral blood circulation, connected with the hypertonic disease and cerebral atherosclerosis; migraine; climacteric vascular disorders, the disturbance of peripheral blood circulation (intermittent lameness).
Method of application and dose
Inward on 0.025-0.05 g of 2-3 times in the day as the vasodilator and spasmolitic means.
Side-line action
From the side of nervous system and sensory organs: sleepiness; fatigue, weakness, vertigo, headache; in elderly patients with the method of large doses (150 mg/day) the development of the extrapyramidal disorders (tremor, the rigidity of muscles, hypokinesia), which require the cancellation of preparation, is possible.
From the side of digestive tract: dryness in the mouth, dyspeptic phenomena, cholestatic jaundice.
From the side of the skins: the increased perspiration, the manifestation of lupus erythematosis or red flat depriving.
Other: allergic skin reactions, an increase in the mass of body.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, breast feeding.
