Description

Active substance - isosorbide dinitrate: 1,4,3,6-dianhydro-D-glucitol-5-mononitrate.

Pharmacological action

Antianginal preparation. Decreases the need of myocardium for oxygen due to the decrease of preliminary and afterload, has a direct coronary dilator effect. The blood supply of suβ-endocardium improves.

Indications for use

Preventive maintenance of the assaults of stenocardia; reducing treatment after myocardial infarction; pulmonary hypertension; the treatment of chronic heart insufficiency (in the composition of complex therapy).

Method of application and dose

They establish individually taking into account the stage of disease. The tablets of retard assign on 0.02 g it is 2-3 times in a 24 hour period (either on 0.04 g of 2 times in a 24 hour period, or on 0.06 g 1 or 2 times in a 24 hour period). The capsules of retard assign on 0.12 g 1 time in a 24 hour period preferably in the morning. It kardiket one should assume after food, without chewing and washing down by small amount of liquid. The interval between the methods - is not less than 8 hours.

Side-line action

From the side of the cardiovascular system: is possible “nitrate” headache, which passes after several days without the cancellation of preparation; arterial hypotension, tachycardia, the sleepiness (they can be noted during the first days of treatment), and also nausea, vomiting, erythema.

Contraindications

Sharp phase of myocardial infarction; the low pressure of the filling of left ventricle; shock, vascular collapse; expressed arterial hypotension (systolic pressure of less than 90 mm Hg).

Form of the release

Tablet of retard, in packing 50 and 100 pieces 1 tablet of isosorbide dinitrate 0.02 g/of 0.04 g/0.06 g. of the capsule of retard, in packing 20 and 50 pieces 1 capsule of isosorbide dinitrate 0.12 g.
