Description
Active substance - lanatoside C, glycoside, obtained from leaves of digitalis of woolly (Digitalis lanata Ehrh.).
Pharmacological action
It acts on the heart similar to other glycosides of digitalis, gives rapid effect and little it cumulates.
Indications for use
Sharp and chronic insufficiency of the blood circulation of the I, II and III stage, the tachyarrhythmia atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal tachycardia.
Method of application and dose
Inward on 1 tablet (0.25 mg) of 2-3 times in the day; it is intravenous on 1-2 ml 0.02%- solution of 1-2 times in a 24 hour period.
Side-line action
Anorexia, nausea, vomiting, discomfort and abdominal pain, diarrhea, gynecomastia, thrombocytopenia, skin precipitations, keratopathy (rarely).
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, WPW- syndrome, AV the blockade of high degree, ventricular tachycardia and the fibrillation of ventricles, restrictive cardiomyopathy, valve stenosis with sharp reduction in the heart emission, chronic pericarditis, the early period of myocardial infarction, sinus bradycardia, the syndrome of the weakness of sine unit, severe myocarditis, cardioversion, the amyloidosis of heart, pulmonary heart, thyrotoxicosis, myxedema, the chronic diseases of lungs, sharp respiratory insufficiency, hypokalemia, elderly age, the disturbance of the function of the liver.
Form of the release
Tablet on 0.25 mg, in the packing of 30 pieces; ampule on 1 ml 0.02%- solution, in the packing of 10 pieces; bottles on 10 ml 0.05%- solution.
