STROPHANTHIN K

Description

Active substance - strophanthin-K. The mixture of cardiac glycosides, isolated from the seeds of strophanthus Kombe (Strophantus Kombe), contains in essence K- strophanthin and K-strofantozid.

Pharmacological action

Systolic action renders, it little influences the frequency of the heart contractions and conductivity on the atrioventricular beam.

Indications for use

Sharp cardiovascular insufficiency, paroxysmal tachycardia.

Method of application and dose

Are intravenous 0.5-1 ml 0.025%- foot or 0.05%- solution in 10-20 ml 40%- solution of glucose. Highest one-time dose - 1 ml 0.05%- solution, daily - 2 ml 0.05%- solution.

Side-line action

With the overdose extrasystole, bigeminy, the dissociation of rhythm, nausea, vomiting.

Contraindications

Organic changes in the heart and vessels, acute myocarditis, endocarditis, expressed cardiosclerosis.

Form of the release

Ampules on 1 ml 0.025 and 0.05%- solution, in the packing of 10 pieces.
