The medicines, which reduce the reductibility of the heart muscle
The medicines, which reduce contracting status of heart muscle, include the β- adrenoblockers. This group of medicines widely is used in the clinical practice for treating the ischemic disease of heart, arterial hypertension, disturbances of cardiac rhythm and so forth many cardiologists consider β- adrenoblockers as the most effective medicines, which not only improve the quality of life of patients, but also contribute to an increase in its duration. The high clinical effectiveness of β- adrenoblockers with coronary heart disease is caused by their ability to decrease the force and to reduce the frequency of the heart contractions, which entails the decrease of the need of heart for oxygen and, therefore, reduction in the risk of the appearance of the assault of ischemia of myocardium. Besides this the β- adrenoblockers increase the duration of the diastolic weakening of heart muscle, as well as the myocardium supplied with blood during diastole, this entails improving its blood supply.
The effectiveness of β- adrenoblockers in patients, who suffer arterial hypertension, is caused by their following properties:
- by the ability to suppress the activating influence of sympathetic nervous system on the heart muscle; therefore decreases the impact and minute volume of heart, which entails reduction AD;
- by the suppression of the secretion of renin by the juxtaglomerular complex of kidneys as a result of the blockade of β- adrenoreceptors, that entails the decrease of the activity of reninangiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) and, therefore, the decrease of vasoconstriction;
- by the restoration of the disrupted sensitivity of the baroreceptors of the arch of the aorta and carotid sine and thus by the restoration of the normal reflector regulation of level AD.
