Description

Active substance - Probucol: 4,4 ' - (isopropylidenedithio) - bis (2,6-di-tert-butylphenol).

Pharmacological action

Anti-atherosclerotic means. Has antiatherogenic effect. The level of general cholesterol descends in the plasma of the blood mainly due to the lipoproteins of low density.

Indications for use

Disturbances of lipid exchange, connected with an increase in cholesterol level and/or the lipoproteins of low density.

Method of application and dose

2 times are assigned inward on 500 mg in a 24 hour period during the food. Course of treatment - 3 months.

Side-line action

Meteorism, diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, allergic reactions.

Contraindications

Myocardial infarction, disturbance of the rhythm of heart, pregnancy, lactation, the increased sensitivity to the preparation.

Tablet on 0.25 g, in the packing of 50 pieces.
